Lee College participates in the Texas Common Course Numbering System which designates equivalent course content among many public and some private colleges and universities in the state of Texas. Its purpose is to assist students in making a smooth transfer from one postsecondary institution to another.
Students who successfully pass a class will receive a 'P' grade while students who do not pass will receive an 'F' grade. To receive a passing grade (and be awarded CEUs), students will need to attend 100% of a class that meets eight hours or less, or attend 90% of a class that meets nine hours or more.

This is an occupationally-based degree for which the primary objective is preparation for job entry immediately upon completion of the degree program (i.e., occupational therapy assistant, paralegal, etc.). While the emphasis is on providing particular occupational skills, each curriculum includes courses in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematics.

Face-to-face courses must include the course syllabus and grades in Blackboard and may contain as little as 0 percent to as much as 100 percent of out-of-class activities such as homework problems, group work, assignments, or research in Blackboard.
To be successful in an online course, students who use their personal computers must have high-speed internet access. Online course users will need at least two internet browsers. For example, for PC users, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. For Mac users, Mozilla Firefox. PC users need Windows 7 or Windows 8 as an operating system. Mac users need an operating system of 10.5 or 10.6. In order for the components to work correctly, Java must be installed. Do NOT use Internet Explorer or Safari. These will cause issues when submitting assignments and taking tests. Do NOT use a phone or small device to take a test.

Online Course (OL) Online courses are asynchronous. Students and instructors are NOT in the same physical setting more than 85 percent of the instructional time. Some courses may require face-to-face sessions totaling no more than 15 percent of the instructional time.
100% Online Course. A course in which all of the tests, quizzes, and learning activities occur online. A course offered 100 percent online, meaning that there are no face-to-face sessions, is typically offered as asynchronous.
Most grades are available to view by one week after the last final is given in a semester. Lee College has a letter grading policy. Valid grades include A-F, P, and several types of W (withdrawal) grades.
GPA. Each letter grade has a point value depending upon the grade and the number of credits earned in the class. The grade point average takes the total of those grade or “quality” points and divides by the number of attempted credit hours in a semester. Example: Student completed two 3-credit classes in a term.
Classes in which student earns an F grade generate no points, but the hours of those classes count as attempted. Classes in which a student earns a W grade generate no points and the hours do NOT count as attempted. See the Lee College Catalog for more information on grades.
Students can change their major (degree or certificate plan) via myLC Campus. It is recommended that students consult with their advisor or counselor before making a major change. Please allow one business day for a change of major request to be completed.
Lee College wants students to succeed in reaching their college goals. All students should carefully consider the decision to drop any or all of the classes they register for in a semester.
