In general, Udemy is a great way to learn web development and coding. There are more than enough beginner-level courses available if you're just starting out. Also, if you're looking for a more in-depth course in a specific programming language, there's enough to choose from.
Udemy definitely has points in its favor as a beginning coding platform, but there are some serious downsides. A lot of those downsides are variations on a main theme, and that theme is the lack of a “bigger picture” approach.
With the increasing popularity of machine learning and AI, Python is light years ahead of Matlab, as all major frameworks are based on Python: Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn. And since all AI research is made using these frameworks it is way easier to find state of the art algorithms for Python than Matlab.

Having a hard time understanding the speaker sometimes. Started slow, but finally got into some practical uses of the software. No Audio in lectures 32-34, which I see has been addressed by other users up to 3 years ago and still hasn't been fixed.
There is no audio for the Advanced Math part. The Guided User Interface is very poorly explained, especially the Callback function; there is no real "working through" example for this function. And the Simulink Introduction is only a very very brief introduction. All the other parts of the course are ok.
In this course we start from the very begining and no prior programming experience is required.

I'm an experienced matlab user, I learned about matlab on my bachelor's degree. I have to say I'm learning beyond what University courses and practice on your own will teach you. I have done many applications using GUI but never had the chance to export the app out of matlab to share it with other people.
