I often think about this a lot. I know almost all working class people have experienced the effects of capitalism, however, I feel that it disproportionately affects women more. In US at least, I know plenty of women who have had to lie to jobs about things like getting married, having kids, and even trying to hide their pregnancy from employers bc jobs are less likely to hire those women bc they are seen as a liability. They don’t want to deal with women who will need maternity leave or need to take time off to take care of their kids, etc.
