Quota management allows you to limit the space that is allowed for a volume or folder, and they can be automatically applied to new folders that are created on a volume. You can also define quota templates that can be applied to new volumes or folders.
Quotas, therefore, not only help you protect disk space, they also force your users to maintain their space utilization. Users can easily find out how much space they can use before reaching the second threshold by checking the volume properties.
Run [Start] - [Server Manager] - [Tools] - [File Server Resource Manager]. Select [Quotas] on the left pane and right-click it, then Open [Create Quota].
