The maximum number of units a student may take during Summer Sessions is one unit per week, plus one additional unit. Therefore, the maximum number of units is normally 7 for one 6-week session, 10 for two overlapping sessions, and 13 for an entire summer.

Then, add 0.5 for each mid-level class you took and 1.0 for each high-level class you took. Divide the result by the total number of classes to find your weighted GPA so far.

Colleges and universities often ask you for converted scores within the TOEFL exams in order to suit the system they follow. Most colleges have not been keen on updating their system even after CBT and iBT came into the picture and this demands that the test-takers learn the process of conversion than remain clueless while sending information regarding the scores.
The ESL Writing placement information provides a list of courses that you should take to fulfill your Composition I requirement. We require non-native speakers of English to complete the campus Composition I requirement through the ESL writing course sequence. Completion of ESL 111-ESL 112 sequence or ESL 115 fulfill the campus Composition I requirement for non-native speakers of English. For those who take the oral EPT, the result of the Oral EPT can have 3 different results:
A written placement of 111q or 114q or below indicates that you are required to take the ESL 111 ( formerly 114)-ESL 112 (formerly 115) sequence to fulfill the Comp 1 requirement.
In order to better accommodate students and to offer additional courses , graduate level courses have been renumbered and new courses have been created. All ESL graduate level courses will have a new number in the system.
Speech patterns are target-like > 70% of the time. Infrequent word stress, focus stress, and segmental errors have little impact on intelligibility.
Speech patterns, including frequent word stress errors, lack of focus stress, choppy rhythm, non-target-like intonation patterns, and noticeable segmental errors, have a greater than moderate impact on intelligibility. Speech is very slow and contains a great deal of pauses and other disfluencies.
Speaker is easy to understand > 95% of the time.

You can view any holds you may have at MyCSULB under "Personal Portfolio" as well as information about clearing the hold. Your emailed registration appointment notification will also include a notice of any holds placed on your registration access. If you still have questions, call Enrollment Services at (562) 985-5471.
You can add yourself to the waitlist for a class until two weeks prior to the session start date.
If you do not attend a class in which you are enrolled, you must correctly drop the class or you may receive a failing grade. To correctly drop a class, follow the instructions under Dropping and Withdrawing from Summer Courses.
After the drop deadline, you will need to request a withdrawal .
If you no longer plan to participate in a class that you are enrolled in, you must drop or withdraw from the class. The process to drop or withdraw will vary depending on when you decide to do so:

The EPT results can be viewed from your AccessPlus account approximately 1 week after the test date. You will receive an email informing you when the results are available. Your results are displayed on your “Current Student Information” page on AccessPlus.
The English Placement Test (EPT) is administered to students who have been admitted to ISU with English proficiency test scores below the threshold for EPT exemption. The EPT assesses students' ability to communicate effectively in a university setting both in speaking and in writing.
The test lasts approximately 20-30 minutes.
As of 2016, these are the countries that ISU considers “English-speaking”: the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, or Australia.
An “I” means you have not taken the sub-test (either Writing or Speaking). You will need to take this sub-test in the future. If you took the EPT after Summer 2017, you will not see ENGL099L placement. If you took the EPT after Summer 2018, you will not see ENGL099R placement.
Official ACT-E score of 24 or higher, SAT-EWR 600 or higher, and/or an SAT-CR of 550 or higher. English placement is English 250. Students must take 250 here at ISU and receive a “C” or better in order to receive the 150 “T” credit.
Task 2 (30 minutes): Respond to a question related to the topic of the two reading texts, using the texts and your experience to support your arguments (300-350 words).

The Entry Level Math test (ELM) assesses your level of ability in math through the beginning and intermediate algebra and plane geometry. The test emphasizes the understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills. You will not be allowed to use a calculator during the test. Your score determines your placement into an appropriate level math course. The ELM is not used for admission purposes. The ELM can be taken more than once.
