Add a class Students can add classes starting on their registration enrollment appointment time through the 4th day of the “add/drop period” on their Student Center or through Schedule Builder. A permission number is required to add any class during the last 4 days of the add/drop period.
Once you receive a permission number by email, select the class that the permission number is for and look for the box labelled Permission Nbr. Type in the number and continue with your class selection process. Once you want to enroll, go to your shopping cart and go through the enrollment process.

If you really want to get into a course and you’re running up against enrollment obstacles, tell the person in charge your reasons for wanting to be in the course. Merely saying, “I find the course interesting” isn’t going to get you very far.
Let’s say you sign up for a class months in advance and you are still relegated to the waitlist. Don’t just rely on climbing the waitlist or selling your story on the first day of class. Be proactive and try to impress the person in charge from the get-go. Email them or go to their office hours and let them know who you are.
Your account may have holds on it that prevent you from enrolling in upcoming terms. These holds include, but are not limited to, advising holds (need to meet with your advisor prior to enrolling), student account holds (i.e. late tuition/fee payments), judicial holds and Student Health Services-related holds.
