New Degree-Seeking Student

Those applicants who are specifically seeking a degree or certificate of achievement and are applying for federal financial aid must have a high school diploma recognized by the Department of Education from their respective state of graduation, its equivalent, or be a qualified international student to be admitted to CSN.

Classification of Students

Student enrollment is determined by the Office of the Registrar based on the number of credits they have completed. This calculation is freshman: 29 credits or less, sophomore: 30-59 credits, junior 60-89 credits (limited entry bachelors); senior: 90 or more credits (limited entry bachelors).

Student Type

CSN offers a number of unique programs for qualified high school students. Some programs allow high school students to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. High school students should check with their school counselor regarding necessary enrollment forms.

First Year Experience (FYE) is a holistic experience of support, connection, and welcome for all new first-year students and families connecting students to peers, the CSN community, campus resources and a network for overall success.

Registration Information

Once a student has been admitted to CSN he/she may register for classes online via MyCSN at www.csn.edu or in person at the Office of the Registrar at any of the three main campuses.

Enrollment Verification

To request enrollment verification, students must go to MyCSN after the start of a semester. The student’s social security number must be in the system to access the online enrollment verification. Enrollment verification is free.
