Blackboard is a paid learning management system. It helps improve students’ learning by providing both material and online assistance for both virtual and physical classes. Blackboard gives teachers and professors access to monitor students’ academic progress and improve their tests and classroom activities.
The course messages page displays all the messages that are specific to the course you are in. You don't need to add a link to course messages. The Messages icon is always part of course navigation in the Ultra Course View.

Accessing Blackboard Messages. You can only access the Blackboard Messages tool from within a course. Messages are internal to Blackboard and, at this time, any communications sent through the Messages system cannot be forwarded outside of the Blackboard system.
