How to Upload your own Level in Super Mario Maker 2
This guide will explain how to quickly upload your levels in Mario Maker 2. To upload a level you’re going to have to have done a couple of things. First you need to create a level. Once you’ve created something that you want to share with other Super Mario Maker 2 players you want to save your level, then you will have the option to upload.
First, make sure Mario Maker 2 is updated to version 3.0 and above, which was the first patch to introduce the World Maker feature. When you first boot up the game, it won't immediately present itself unlike headline features in previous patches. To access World Maker, go to Course Maker, then press the Main Menu tab on the right.
Click the Coursebot Robot icon on the right to save your level. Click the Coursebot Robot icon after you’ve saved and you’ll have the option to upload You’ll need to be able to clear your own level before you can upload it. This means that it has to beatable and you’ll need to complete any challenges that you will be issuing to other players.
To access World Maker, go to Course Maker, then press the Main Menu tab on the right. From there, you can see the World Maker area. After a brief introduction to World Maker, you can start creating courses.
Once you upload a level, it gets marked as uploaded (with a small up arrow icon in the level selection menu), and cannot be reuploaded unless you delete the uploaded level from course world.

How to Download. In order to download a level once you've found it, simply select it and it will expand a bit. At the bottom of this area a Download button will appear. Simply press this button and you'll be taken to the download storage screen.

When in the Course World menu just press the Y Button to access your profile. From there you will tab over to uploaded courses and then select the course you want to get the ID for. Once you select the course you will see the course ID near the bottom right of the level card on the screen.
Overall, you don't need Nintendo Switch Online to play aspects of Super Mario Maker 2 like Story Mode, though you will need a subscription to the service if you plan to share or play custom levels, and take part in the game's multiplayer component.
The best course is one that is challenging, but not too difficult. It should also be a level that you can complete in about 3 minutes or less.
You can make a better course by adding more obstacles and enemies.

If is held, if the player, a Course Part, or a Sound Effect isn't being dragged, the cursor will start moving fast. Holding both sticks in the same direction will also make the cursor move faster.
Along with the menu controls, the buttons allow you to have more options. The / buttons toggle between normal making, Multi-Grab, and Copy mode. Multi-Grab mode allows you to select multiple parts and/or effects in rectangles and move them as a group (can be moved in normal mode too).
