You must upload your rides using the following steps: Plug in your Garmin device using the appropriate USB cable. A new drive name or drive letter will appear indicating the device is connected to your computer. On the UPLOAD page, Click on SELECT FILES, then browse to the following path: GARMIN > GARMIN > GPX
Set up the Garmin Courses sync option and you’ll be able to add routes to your device on-the-go. Before exporting your routes, try to limit the name to 15 characters or less for TCX files or 21 characters or less for GPX files.
After you have signed into Garmin Connect, Garmin will start sending the last 30 days of your activities to Ride with GPS. This is a one-way transaction so it’s Garmin Connect to Ride with GPS only.
Select the compatible device you will be using with Ride with GPS. Search for Ride with GPS and select it to download. On your compatible Garmin device, open the IQ store by selecting the IQ button from the device menu. See your owner's manual for specific instructions for your device.

Once this is set up, you can Pin or use the Send to Device button for any route you want to sync over to your device wirelessly.
The downloaded file will be placed in your web browsers default location. Most users will find this in their “Downloads” folder on their computer.

Enable Automatic Sync. Click on the UPLOAD tab on the left column of your dashboard or from the Jump To dropdown menu. Click on the ENABLE AUTOMATIC SYNCING button. Sign into Garmin Connect using your email address and password that you registered on Garmin Connect. Confirm that you want to share your activities by clicking Save.
Your 5 year history will not sync immediately. It may take a few days to see your full activity history synced from Garmin Connect depending on their server load
When your device is plugged in, DEVICE FOUND will appear. If Garmin Express has not found your device, check your connection or try another USB cable.
Garmin will only feed us the last 5 years of activity. If you wish to get beyond the last 5 years of historical data, you will need to use a third-party service.
Disconnecting from Garmin Connect will not delete any of your rides.
Upload to the website. Click Upload in the left hand dashboard navigation. Click the Select Files button to bring up the file explorer. Select the files you wish to upload: GPX, TCX, KML, KMZ, or FIT files are all accepted. You can select multiple files at once by holding Control (Windows) or Command (OS X) and clicking on multiple files.
