Click the course offering you want to activate or deactivate. On the navbar, click Course Admin > Course Offering Information. Select the Course is active check box. Tip: You can deactivate a course offering to hide it from learners without actually deleting it. This way the content (including user data) can be kept for future use.
If you click the “Change your email settings” link then you can edit the address that D2L Brightspace sends theses messages to (in case you prefer to check your personal address). Additionally, you can register or remove a mobile number on your D2L Brightspace account.

24-48 hoursPlease wait 24-48 hours after registering for a course to appear in Brightspace Learning Environment. The course may not be active. Your instructor is responsible for activating the course so contact them to see when the course will be activated. The course hasn't started.
On your Brightspace homepage, click on the course settings button (ellipses icon) in My Courses. Click Course Offering Information. From the Course Offering Information page, scroll down to the Active heading. In the Course is active checkbox, select the box to make the course active or inactive as desired.
If you cannot connect to your school or organization, the problem could be: Your school or organization turned off access to Brightspace Pulse. You entered your ID or password incorrectly or all caps are on (login credentials are case-sensitive).
If your instructor is using D2L but the class is not showing up in your D2L portal: Has it been 24 hours since you registered? It may be 24 hours before the class appears. Check the UAccess Student Center and make sure that the course still shows up in your class list.

One common reason why you are unable to log in is that the username and/or password were entered incorrectly. Try to log in again and remember that the username and/or password may be case sensitive.
If you can't access D2L at all: Wait 10 minutes and try again. It isn't unusual for D2L to go down at random times, but it usually comes back up quickly. Make sure you are using the correct link: https://d2l.sfasu.edu .
To activate enrollment with date restrictions, from the Enrollment Period drop-down list, select Start/End Dates, then enter an Enrollment End Date in the future.
To display the course in the catalog with date restrictions, from the Listing Period drop-down list, select Start/End Dates, then enter a Listing End Date in the future.
There are two levels to activating a course: displaying the course in the catalog, and opening enrollment for the course. You must display the course in the catalog first in order to open enrollment for it.
When a course is active it becomes accessible to learners in the My Courses widget, and in the Select a Course menu. If no Start Date and End Date are set in the Course Offering Information the course is immediately available for learners to access.
When a course’s End Date is reached and the course is still active , the course is no longer visible to learners in the My Courses widget, and in the Select a Course menu. This is dependent on the configuration variable settings in use at your organization.

The visibility toggle enables you to control the visibility of units, lessons, folders, HTML documents, and web links at the time of creation.
To allow learners to access Discover, ensure the learner role has the Discover > Access Discover permission set at the organization level.
To provide learners with greater flexibility and control over their personal learning goals, the Discover tool allows them to search for active courses and self-enroll.
To allow course administrators or instructors to configure courses for self-enrollment, ensure the course administrator or instructor role has the Discover > Change Visibility in Discover permission set at the organization level.
To display form elements for self-enrollment, navigate to Admin Tools > Form Elements. Under CourseOfferingInfo, enable isDisplayed for Registration and Description.
Tip: To make it easier to index multiple courses for Discover, developers can use the Brightspace Developer Platform API to enable the Is Discoverable option on new and existing courses. Once the option is enabled, those courses are visible in Discover, available to learners for self-enrollment. For information, refer to the Brightspace Developer Platform documentation.
Discover is available to Brightspace Core clients in all regions, except Singapore. Clients in Singapore can use Discover; however, data is not stored in the Singapore region.
