Do I need cash handling training?

Cash handling training is required for all UC Cashiers and Cash Handlers on an annual basis. This training video and quiz meet that requirement. Each year, cash handlers at UCSC collect and process over $100 million. All of this cash is used to help the campus fulfill its teaching, research and public service mission.

How much does a cash handling seminar cost?

If you are interested in hosting a Cash Handling Seminar in your area please call or email us to discuss logistics and calendar availability. Members $65; Non-members $75. *Membership belongs to the individual, not the organization. A group rate of $65 per person is available for organizations registering a minimum of 10 people in one transaction.

UC Business and Finance Bulletin 49 (Policy IX.15) requires that each campus provide training to new cashiers, and to all cashiers on an annual basis.

Who Should Take the Training

All UC Davis employees who handle cash for their department should take this training annually.

Enrollment instructions

The online training is offered through the campus Learning Management System (LMS). In order to complete the course, you will need to log into lms.ucdavis.edu using your campus login ID.

Assigning the Training

Managers and supervisors can assign the training module to their staff. This is recommended if you have a large number of staff who handle cash in your department.
