Take an Online Math Class in Summer 2022. UConn’s Department of Math offers several fully online 3-credit Math courses to help you get ahead, save money, or catch-up. Summer online math classes are taught by UConn instructors and are delivered within an asynchronous format. You can participate at any time of day from nearly anywhere.
Students in online sections will take their tests at the Wake Technical Community College testing center. Information, including location, phone number, and hours of operation for the testing centers can be found on the Testing Center website. Most Mathematics courses schedule 4 or 5 proctored tests or exams during the semester.
The high school mathematics course of study is based upon the national Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSS-M) adopted by the North Carolina State Board of Education in June, 2010. The Common Core Standards specify the mathematics that all students should study in order to be college and career ready.
Students can access their priority date in Self Service at register.waketech.edu. New students, meanwhile, can get started by completing NC Residency Determination and completing the Wake Tech application at apply.waketech.edu. We offer Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees as well as diplomas and certificates. AAS degrees provide students with options for pursuing a bachelor's degree at select four-year colleges and universities, through Wake Tech's Transfer programs.
Recommended prerequisite(s): Algebra II or Math III Discrete Math introduces students to the mathematics of networks, social choice, and decision-making. The course extends students’ application of matrix arithmetic and probability. Applications and modeling are central to this course of study. Appropriate technology, from manipulatives to calculators and application software, is used for instruction and assessment. This course is accepted as the fourth math for admission to UNC System institutions. . The final exam is the North Carolina Final Exam for Discrete Math.

You are permitted to register late for an open class without the Dean's or Designee's permission before the second class meeting. After the class has met twice, you are required to obtain the Dean's or Designee's permission (in consultation with the instructor).

You must pay your balance in full by the payment deadline. If you do not you risk being dropped from all courses and waitlists. If you are dropped for non-payment, you remain eligible to register for courses until registration ends.
