How many hours of work is required for a unit of credit in Davis?

The quantitative measure of academic work in the Division shall be the “Unit of Credit.” One unit of credit shall be assigned to the student for each three hours of academic work per week. The standard distribution of work for a unit of credit shall be one hour of lecture or discussion presided over by an instructor in class and two hours of preparation outside class. In laboratory courses two or three hours of work in the laboratory shall be assigned for each unit of credit.
