Pet Training Level 1. When your sim first starts gaining the pet training skill they are going to unlock a few pet tricks like sit. They are also going to be able to train out some of the misbehavior that their pets are exhibiting.
They’ll be able to run a single part of the course or run the entire thing and how well they do is going to depend on how high the pet training skill of the person who commanded them to do the course is. When you reach the 5th level of the skill your sim has maxed it out and has mastered the pet training skill. When a sim reaches this level they are going to be able to train new dogs much more quickly, and will be able to get their dogs to perform tricks for sims who are around.
At level four of this skill your sim is going to be able to show off their pet tricks to others. They are also going to unlock the ability to tell their dog to attack. This will cause a box to open allowing you to choose from any sims around you currently and your dog will go and attack them.

Sims can master the Pet Training Skill by using the “Training” Interaction on Dogs, “Running” the obstacle course objects with any pet, or “Commanding” a pet use the obstacle course objects.
The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack adds four brand new traits for Sims. Two of these traits are reward/bonus traits for selecting and completing the new game aspiration.

These recipes work similar to a skill, where they must be eaten to be learned, and learned in order to prepare them at home. When ordering and eating these food dishes from a food stall, Sims will automatically learn the recipe. The following recipes have been added:
Leveling up in the Pet Training Skill allows Sims to teach dogs a variety of commands and tricks. Sims with a higher Pet Training Skill will also increase the chance of their pet receiving a Gold Medal through the obstacle course with no faults.
To access the breeds list, click the body of the pet, then select the button with the paw print. You can even select two breeds at the bottom of this screen to create a mixed breed based on those settings, similar to rolling a human child based on the DNA of two other Sims. After making the roll, you are free to change the pet however you wish. If you're creating a pet from scratch, you can then click the "Mixed Breed" line above their Pet Traits and rename the breed to whatever you wish.
