Each course in the AMCAS application must be classified strictly on the primary content of the course. You are responsible for selecting the correct course classification, but AMCAS reserves the right to change classifications if the assigned classification clearly does not apply.
The EMT Basic Training course will prepare you for a career as an emergency medical technician (EMT). You will learn life support, basic patient care and emergency response methods. Upon successful completion of the class, you will earn your EMT certification.
Must take the Accuplacer Reading test and score at least a 66 or higher or submit scores from an accredited institution or submit a transcript that shows that you have tested out of a reading class. Must provide copy of most recent immunization records.

Through the ACLS course, providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies . ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support (CPR) to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.

Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement . This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life.
Textbooks: Access to a current ACLS textbook is required before and during the course. Students may purchase a textbook through ATC upon registration. All students must complete the pre-test prior to attending the ACLS course with a minimum score of 70 and bring proof to class.
All students must have Internet access to take this course. Ten hours of clinical training and eight hours of practicum experiential learning are included as a mandatory part of the EMT program and are scheduled during non-classroom hours, based on student choice.

An applicant for the EMT training course must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Students under 18 may take this course with parents’ permission, and must be 16 by the course completion.
