On over 100+ imaginatively designed courses, you are to defeat enemies using Kirby as a ball, and in the end sink him in an ordinary golf cup. You will also get to use a vast amount of special abilities which have been featured in other Kirby games. Be warned though, Kirby's Dream Course is a very difficult game.
In the Music Room in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Kirby's Dream Course is represented by an image of a hole. When playing amiibo tap: Nintendo's Greatest Bits, if the player taps an amiibo product to the Wii U GamePad, there is a chance that he/she will unlock a demo of Kirby's Dream Course.
Kirby's Dream Course was based on the gameplay and engine of Special Tee Shot, an originally unreleased SNES game made by Nintendo EAD. Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been a long time coming for fans of the overpowered pink puffball, and luckily it has a confirmed release date. Kirby and the Forgotten Land was first announced in a Nintendo Direct in September 2021. At that point, the last full Kirby game had come out all the way back in 2018.
The character was known as Popopo (ポポポ) during development until the name "Kirby" was chosen from a draft list of potential names. Shigeru Miyamoto stated that "Kirby" was chosen in honor of American lawyer John Kirby, who defended Nintendo in the Universal City Studios, Inc.

Kirby sets out to recover Dream Land's stars and teach Dedede a lesson. The hero heads to the king's floating castle, which is rigged with traps and secured by servants, each of which holds a missing star.
The game features twelve courses with eight holes each, not counting the lone boss stage. Eight of these courses are only playable solo, and four of them are exclusive to the 2Play Game, a versus mode. In 1Play Game, the player eventually meets and battles a robotic version of King Dedede in a special course with no holes.
The levels can have hazards like sand bunkers, turntables that can spin Kirby off course, and Danger Zones (spike pits), as well as special enemies like Whispy Woods, Kracko, and Gordo who do not need to be defeated. Some levels have switches that, if passed over by Kirby, will toggle certain environmental hazards off or on.
There are special unlockables in the game once a player gets enough medals, including a Sound Test, map select and Extra variants of each course for both the 1P and 2P modes.
It is a golf-style game with Copy Abilities and enemies on each course. As suggested by its Japanese title, the game can also be said to contain elements of bowling, with the enemies serving as "pins.". The player uses Kirby as a ball.
Stone A stone also known as Rock or Rocky. It gives you the stone ability. Just as with many other enemies in the game, this one has been around for awhile and still supplies Kirby with the slow but efficient stone ability. Tornado A tornado which of course gives you the neat tornado ability.
If the meter gets completely filled up, it will turn pink and you will have performed a super shot. If you have set a fly shot, Kirby will follow the guide exactly if you managed to per- form a super shot. Further down the FAQ, you'll found some power diagrams which shows you how much power you need.
If the dotted line, the guide, runs along the ground, you have set a "grounder". This means that Kirby will be fired along the ground. Press up on the control pad and the dotted line will be different. Now you've set a "fly shot". When you fire Kirby, he will bounce along the guide.
Kirby will fall asleep and thus your opponent gets to fire two shots in a row. Avoid this because your opponent has a great chance to steal many stars and sink his Kirby. On the following turn, your energy will be replenished by four units. The same goes if you have no energy when your opponent sinks his Kirby.
When you've sunk Kirby in that cup, you get to move on to the next hole. When you've finished all eight holes on a course, you may be rewarded with a medal depending on how many shots you used.
Earn a silver or gold medal in all eight Normal courses to unlock the Extra course.
Earn gold medals in all eight Normal or Extra courses to unlock "Map Select" option at the title screen. If you have gotten eight gold medals on the Extra courses, then Map Select will allow you select any hole from any Extra course. Otherwise, you will be able to select any hole from any Normal course.
Highlight a name on the Members List. Hold L + R and press A. Enter a new name.
Earn silver medals in all eight 1P Extra courses to unlock "Dance Select" option at the title screen. Dance Select allows players to view and select Kirby's victory dances.
