If we’re starting from the main screen, select ‘Play’ and then ‘Course World’. Once into the next screen, you’ll need to click on the magnifying glass that says ID, just above your Avatar Maker and below the three lines in the top-right corner. Input the Course ID and away you go!

It consists of a series of 9 letters and numbers in 3 pairs - everyone has one. Assuming your friends have found their own Maker IDs, return to the Course World hub page, and look for the magnifying glass with the letters: ID. This search mode allows you to look up both Course IDs as well as Maker IDs.
Simply input the string of 9 letters and numbers for the Maker you are looking for, and their Mii Maker Profile should show up. Note that this won't automatically "follow" that ID, you'll have to hit the star icon at the top to follow that Maker.
Read them and accept to be presented with the Course World screen. From the main screen in Course World, look for the Search button on the right — it's the one with the magnifying glass. Select it to open a menu where both Maker and Course IDs can be entered.
Just head to the main Course World screen, select the Search with ID tab towards the upper right of the screen, and type in their code. You can even follow Makers that you like by selecting their name and tapping on the star in the upper right corner.
Downloaded Courses The courses downloaded from Course World by pressing the download button in its course data will appear here, so players can play those course even without Wi-Fi access.
When in the Course World menu just press the Y Button to access your profile. From there you will tab over to uploaded courses and then select the course you want to get the ID for. Once you select the course you will see the course ID near the bottom right of the level card on the screen.

Super Mario Maker 2 does not allow you to edit downloaded maps. Whether this was something on Nintendo's mind, based on what happened in the previous game, is up for debate. Whatever the reason, you can't download levels and edit other peoples' creations this time around.
In Mario Maker 2, players are given the tools to make their own Mario Levels from scratch. It's common for community members to make hard levels; much of the community thrives on it. But, this level is more than just technically difficult to play. It is butt-clenchingly stressful to watch.
The easiest way to do this is to navigate to their page of posts where you will see all of their recent posts including their Mario Maker stage upload posts. This will provide you with course ID's for their courses which you can use to find at least one course in game.

Super Mario Maker 2 recently received its last big update, bringing along the new Super Worlds feature. With Super Worlds, players can now take on a series of Mario Maker levels, allowing them to experience full worlds created by other players in the community.
Overall, you don't need Nintendo Switch Online to play aspects of Super Mario Maker 2 like Story Mode, though you will need a subscription to the service if you plan to share or play custom levels, and take part in the game's multiplayer component.
