Have you tried the common cartridge course export from Canvas to restore into a Moodle course? This would be the whole course, but once the course was in with the questions you should be able to move the questions in the question bank. I think the Moodle common cartridge importer is only able to import a small subset of question types.
On the course home page, click Import Existing Content on the right. On the next page, choose Copy a Canvas Course from the Content Type menu, and then locate and select the course that will be imported. The course list is arranged by term for easier identification.
Moodle module names are retained as Canvas module names but the description used in Moodle is converted into a Canvas page and placed at the top of the Canvas module. Moodle forums are converted to Canvas discussions (no threads are created in the conversion)

There is absolutely no chance any other canvas question type is currently imported, I need more sample files to write the code.
Looking at the file produced by Canvas, it would be quite doable to make an import format (and a lot of code from the above formats could be re-used), but the condition is to have a lot of sample files for the different question types, because the IMSQTI documentation is of absolutely no use here, you must see how questions are actually exported.
Yes, it would be possible, easy even, to write an importer to get that into Moodle, if you can work out what it means.
Numerical is more complicated and calculated would be even more complex (and no all Canvas calculated questions can be imported as Moodle calculated questions, for instance some of the functions available in Canvas are not available in Moodle).

If you have a .zip archive of either a Blackboard or Moodle course, you can import that from the Import Existing Content page.
When the process finishes, the questions will be imported into a new question bank in the course that use the same name as the quiz. Only the questions are imported, not any settings from the previous LMS such as due dates, time limit, etc. To use the imported questions, create a new quiz and add the questions to it.
