Teachable uses a program called Stripe, and you are able to choose the dates you want to receive the payments from your courses. When this is all set up, you can connect this to a PayPal account, where you will then be able to access the payments.
If you have a $100 course and sell 10 per month, you’ll pay $50 in transaction fees to Teachable. When you add in the $29 monthly fee for the basic plan, that ends up being the same amount as just paying for the $79 Professional plan outright.
While there is a free plan available for Teachable, this only allows you access to the site for 14 days. After this time, you will need to pay for a subscription to keep using this service. When it comes to the payment options, you can choose to pay for Teachable monthly, at an increased cost, or annually, which is slightly less expensive overall.
When a refund is issued for a transaction processed through Teachable Payments or the Monthly Payment Gateway, then all transaction and processing fees are returned to the school owner. If a partial refund is issued, then school owners are only charged transaction and processing fees for the non-refunded amount of the transaction—the rest of the fees are returned to the school owner. Similarly, if a student had VAT tax added to their charge, the tax amount is refunded in proportion to the refund. For example, if you refund 50% of the total payment, 50% of the VAT tax will be refunded as well.
Before contacting Teachable Support, we recommend reviewing the following: Refund Date - If the refund was issued on a credit/debit card transaction, then it may take up to 7-10 business days to process with Stripe.
For coaching products or any bundle that contains a coaching product, creators are solely responsible for setting the refund policy. These products do not need to adhere to the 30 day refund policy. However, you can still refund coaching and bundle purchases through the Teachable admin up to 30 days after purchase.
Inside the individual student profile, click Purchases. Then, click the specific transaction you would like to refund from the Purchases History section.
Chargeback - If the student disputed the transaction with their credit/debit card company or PayPal, then the transaction is put on hold by their bank and a refund cannot be processed until the student withdraws their dispute.
Students should allow for their credit/debit card refunds to take up to 7-10 business days to process. If you enabled PayPal as a payment option for your students, and a student requests a refund on a PayPal payment, then the refund will be issued to their PayPal account immediately.
NOTE: Refund receipts/invoices are automatically sent to your students after refunding the transaction in your admin.
Teachable Refund Policy limits you to 20 funnels, 100 pages, and 20,000 visitors on their cheapest plan. I’m really not a fan of software products that limit you in this way.
Elements (or widgets) are all vital for providing you the flexibility to design the specific pages you woud like and Teachable Refund Policy gives you a large variety of them to use.

If you pre-pay for a Specialization, you can request a full refund up to two weeks after your payment date.
We don't offer partial refunds for Specialization pre-payments. If you aren't sure you'll want to complete the entire Specialization, we recommend you pay by course.
We don't offer refunds for Guided Projects. If you paid individually for a guided project, ensure you complete it within 180 days to earn your completion certificate and avoid having to register and pay again.
