The Waiver Team will evaluate requests within one to three business days and attempt to inform each student when done.

Waiver Information
  1. College transcript (unofficial is acceptable) or proof of degree.
  2. High school transcript (within 10 years from graduation)
  3. SAT, PSAT (if you have not yet taken the SAT), ACT, ASVAB, AP, or CLEP test scores.

What is a BRC motorcycle?

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF Basic RiderCourse (BRC) Hawaii edition is approved for use by the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) for Motorcycle Rider Education. Upon successful completion of the course, qualified students who hold a State of Hawaii Class 2 Permit will be issued a licensing waiver.

How old do you have to be to get a motorcycle license in Hawaii?

Those under 18 years old have additional requirement to both register for the course and to be issued a license waiver. To Register: You must have a valid Hawaii motorcycle issues at least 100 days prior to the start of the course. You will be required to have a parent/guardian sign the application form.
