How do I become an Insanity instructor?

A: In order to become INSANITY Certified, you must attend the 1-day live INSANITY Certification Training Workshop and pass a written exam with a score of 80% or higher. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of your exam results.

Each Insanity Certification class is lead by an Insanity Master Trainer, in my case that was Julie Voris. She was a great trainer whom I had “known” through Team Beachbody, though not on a personal level. She is actually local to the Indianapolis area and leads Insanity classes, among others, at a YMCA here in town.

The Insanity certification isn’t just a pop in a DVD from the fitness program and follow along. These are specific routines that have been developed to accommodate group fitness classes.

Insanity Certification – The Exam

After you have exhausted pretty much all of your energy in the 4 workouts, you are now ready to take the test on the course material. The exam is simply a test of your knowledge of the specific subjects that are discussed throughout the day as it relates to some of the key science/fact based topics.

Insanity Pro Team

The Insanity Certification Pro Team is the membership side of being an Insanity instructor. It is not required, but does offer some benefits. There is a cost associated with Pro Team – $29.95/month. However, in my particular case there was a bonus/perk for joining on the day of my certification.

Summary

I am so glad that I went through the Insanity Certification – it was a pretty cool experience! The certification is valid for a 2 year period, after which I will be required to become re-certified.
