World 5-Castle, or simply World 5-6, is the twenty-eighth level of Super Mario 3D Land .

Layout

This level opens with Mario traversing a long pass of moving platforms. These platforms cross a vast lava plain, and at points will fall into said plain. Several Dry Bones await Mario on this crossing as well. The second challenge in this level is that Mario must run under several Thwomps.

Boss battle

The boss begins as Mario approaches a large, grey, moving platform. As the battle commences, like the rest, Bowser starts to shoot out fire balls at Mario. Once over the bridge, Bowser will jump around, getting close to Mario and attempting to attack Mario with his tail and fire breath.

Star Medals

Star Medal 1: Atop the second Thwomp in the level, Mario can find the first Star Medal.
