From the main screen in Course World, look for the Search button on the right — it's the one with the magnifying glass. Select it to open a menu where both Maker and Course IDs can be entered. Within this screen, players can follow popular Makers and download specific levels through their Course IDs.
Here's how to enter a Course ID in Super Mario Maker 2 Course World and start playing shared levels. To play shared courses in Super Mario Maker 2, launch the game and head into Course World. This can be done from the game's title screen by selecting Play, then selecting Course World.

Super Mario Maker 2 does not allow you to edit downloaded maps. Whether this was something on Nintendo's mind, based on what happened in the previous game, is up for debate. Whatever the reason, you can't download levels and edit other peoples' creations this time around.
