If you have their Course ID or Maker ID, you can also search for them. Just head to the main Course World screen, select the Search with ID tab towards the upper right of the screen, and type in their code.

Finding Courses via Miiverse The easiest way to do this is to navigate to their page of posts where you will see all of their recent posts including their Mario Maker stage upload posts. The way you find worlds to play in Super Mario Maker 2 instead is to go to the Super World option on the bottom left hand corner of Course World. The first time you enter Course World (Press + to reach the Main Menu), you'll get to make your own Mii Maker, and customize their name, face, and cosmetics earned from playing Mario Maker 2.
Assuming your friends have found their own Maker IDs, return to the Course World hub page, and look for the magnifying glass with the letters: ID.
