Download the .mbz Moodle backup file as specified above and use the Moodle Restore feature to import it to the other Moodle site. Depending on the versions of Moodle used, it may not be possible to transfer all the information.

Is there a way to export a course for use outside of Moodle? Or to even export all documents contained within a course to save and store outside of Moodle?
Hello. Yes. But you have to upload it into another Moodle site to use it, unless your course is only SCORM or regular files such as PPTS. Please see the documentation Course backup and Course restore and these two videos:
Before you start importing content, we recommend doing a little preparation in the course you are copying from.#N#Note: This step is especially important if the target course already contains any content.

LITS strongly recommends that students and instructors export copies of course files that they wish to keep long-term and archive them outside of Moodle. We suggest this for a few reasons.
Click the Download Center link in the left sidebar of the course to view all visible course files and folders on a single page, where you can download them in a single, zipped folder. (Hidden files and links to files stored outside of Moodle will not show up in the list.)
Use the Export to Portfolio links at the bottom of Assignment Submission pages and Chat, Forum or Glossary posts to save copies of those items outside of Moodle, as shown below.
