*Due to recent Utah legislative changes, the Concurrent Enrollment Office is amending its registration process (es) affecting 9th and 10th graders. Admissions (Step 1) is open and remains unaffected by these future registration updates. 11th and 12th grade registration is open.
How much does it cost? $35 one-time UVU admission fee. $5 per credit for each course you take.
Students are limited to 30 concurrent enrollment credit hours per year regardless of who is awarding the credit.
Concurrent enrollment, more commonly known as dual enrollment, refers to programs where students are enrolled in two schools simultaneously. Many dual enrollment programs involve high school students simultaneously taking college classes, most often at a local community college.

The University of Utah accepts all non-remedial credits with grades of D- or higher from Utah State System of Higher Education (USHE) institutions. Credits from out-of-state institutions will be evaluated on a class-by-class basis and accepted if the U of U offers similar courses.

It is generally accepted that when it comes to having more rigorous curricula, AP programs win the AP vs dual enrollment battle. AP programs are also more widely accepted. Moreover, it is more convenient to take AP courses over dual enrollment.
The concurrent curricula enhancement allows an institution to record and use multiple curricula for a person as they move through the student cycle. This feature allows you to enter an unlimited number of curricula, majors, minors and concentrations for a person in Banner.

Students can find their UVID with the Find your UVID page and use it to login to myUVU.
Students can drop and withdraw from a course in myUVU within the appropriate concurrent enrollment deadlines. If deadlines have passed and a student wants to withdraw from a course, they must complete an academic petition through the concurrent enrollment petition website .
Students may apply for an exception to academic policy only in the case of a documented extenuating circumstance. They can apply for a review of their circumstance by visiting the petition website. The Concurrent Enrollment Exceptions Committee will review completed petitions on a case-by-case basis.
Students can find final grades in myUVU. Check with your instructor for progress grades.

High School students are not allowed to repeat a concurrent enrollment course. Courses may be retaken on-campus, but are subject to full tuition and student fees
If a student is on Academic Warning or Academic Probation, they will need to set an appointment to meet with a Concurrent Enrollment Advisor .
