Tap on your course, pull up the elevation card from the bottom and scroll all the way down. There’s a button to edit the course. Tap that to go into the course name to edit it. I don’t know why Garmin wouldn’t add the edit option to the top right menu but there you have it.

Just click on the course either side of the area you want to reroute, you will see a white circle appear on the route (this is a new course point). Now when you drag something, it will only recalculate as far as this course point you just added. Sign In or Register to comment.
Select the course, find the 3 dots at the bottom right of the box where the course name and details are listed, select Modify (no Rename here either, consistently cryptic), and then lo and behold there's a pen besides the name in the same details box. Click the pen (not the name, you fool), and there you are.
