1 When naming courses, keep in mind that most devices have a limit where they only look at the first 15 characters in the name of a course. If there are multiple courses where the first 15 characters are the same the device will think they are the same course.
NOTE: With the release of iOS 13, Apple has changed the way the "share" function works with downloaded files and "Copy to Connect" may not show for all users (see About iOS 13 Updates ). To edit a course in Garmin Connect web. Sign into Garmin Connect from a personal computer. Select Training in the navigation bar on the left. Select Courses. Select the course you would like to edit. Select (bottom right) Select Edit. Make the desired changes: Click on the map to place additional points.
Click and drag an existing point in the course to a different area of the map to reshape the course
NOTE: After making any change to a course, even if only to reverse the direction of the course, the distance will be recalculated after the edit has been saved. The newly-calculated distance may not be equal to the original distance measured by your Garmin device.
