Copy an entire D2L course
Go to the D2L course site you want to copy materials TO and click Course Admin. Select Import/Export/Copy Components. Click Search for offering. Click the magnifying glass icon to search. It is not necessary to enter a search term, but may narrow your results. Select the course you want to copy and click Add Selected. Click Copy All Components. 2.
To copy all course components, click Copy All Components. D2L recommends that you copy all components between courses to ensure you maintain all desired associations, and then delete any undesired material in the new course. To specify the components you want to copy, click Select Components.
To see details for course components, click the Show the current course components link, then click the View Detail icon beside a component to see existing items. For those course components that provide the option to include associated files, D2L recommends leaving the option turned on. Click Continue.

To copy between courses in D2L Brightspace you pull from the Source Course to the Destination Course. To do this you: Go into the Destination Course. Use Import / Export / Copy Components in the Destination Course to pull in the materials you want from the Source Course.

Click File from the menu bar, mouse over Export, and select Brightspace by D2L. Select the save location, enter a file name and click Save. The question content is saved as a ZIP file. Take note of where the file is being saved as you will need to locate it later when uploading to the Brightspace by D2L Course.

To copy only certain items from a component, choose Select individual items to copy instead of Copy all items. Keep the default setting to Include associated files. D2L allows you to copy all or some content from previous courses. User (student) data is not copied. For example, if you copy the discussions component, only the forums and topics will be copied, not the messages posted to topics. Similarly, if you copy quizzes, student attempts will not be copied, etc.
