Quick Instructions; How to Perform a Course Copy:
In D2L Brightspace, transferring content from a course or development/template shell to another course is quick and easy. You can choose to copy an entire course or select components to copy. What is required: Access to the D2L Brightspace course or development/template shell you want to copy and an empty course.
When you copy course materials, these occur: Content: Course materials, including uploaded files, learning modules, and links are copied. Course information, course documents, assignments, and URLs are optional. Assignments created inside lesson plans won't copy properly.
You need to unzip the course file before importing to your Moodle site. Find the Moodle course you’d like to copy and turn editing on. Click the cog icon and select the “backup” option in the dropdown menu as shown in the figure below. You can configure what you’d like to include in the course backup file by following the 5 on-screen steps.
The course ID must be unique and remain static. After you create the copied course, you can't edit the course ID. If you chose Copy Course Materials into a New Course or Copy Materials into an Existing Course, select the course materials that you want to copy over.

Instructors may have added class slides to Blackboard in one of two ways: As a PowerPoint file which opens within Blackboard or within a new window. In this case, right-click and save the document from its link in Blackboard.
From the File menu, select Save as. Navigate to the required output directory and provide a file name. Click on the Save as type dropdown and select PDF. Finally, click the Save button to save the document as a PDF.
It is strongly suggested that you complete a "Course Copy" only once AND before you do any design work or add any content in the new course. Completing multiple course copies may result in duplication of content, course files, and Grade Center columns.

Copy an entire D2L course 1 Go to your empty course offering or destination course 2 Click on Course Admin from the navbar 3 Click on Import / Export / Copy Components 4 Click on the radio button next to Copy Components from another course (default-should already be selected) 5 Click on the Search for offering button 6 Click on the Search button to see the list of courses that you have access to and select the course you want to copy and click Add Selected.#N#Note: Make sure you select the right course to copy. When you copy, the course availability of the source course is applied to the destination course. If the destination course's availability is set to unavailable, but the original course is available, the destination course's availability is changed.
When you copy a course without enrollments into a new course, the delegated setting is brought over as enabled for all existing delegated grading assignments. The instructor who copies the course is set to grade all submissions and reconcile grades.
Copy Links to Course Files: No copies of linked files are included in the copy. The copied course will have the same set of links. Those links will point back to the original location of the link defined in the origin course.
The course ID can't include spaces or characters other than numbers and letters (A-Z), dash (-), underscore (_), and period (.). The course ID must be unique and remain static. After you create the copied course , you can't edit the course ID.
You can only copy materials into a course if you have the role of instructor, teaching assistant (TA), or course builder. Copy Course with Users (Exact Copy): Copy user records, such as grades and discussion posts, to the new course. Everything in the course is copied to the new course exactly as it appears in the existing course.
A course copy operation can't be completed if you don't select at least one of these areas: Content, Contacts, or Settings. If you don't select one, a warning appears and Blackboard Learn can't create a new course.
Attendance data isn't included when you copy a course into a new or existing course. The attendance option is removed from the copy options.
Once a course backup file is successfully created, you can download the file (*.mbz) to your computer.
