To borrow material, bring the item(s) you want and your library card to the appropriate service desk. In addition to the Services Desk at the UCSB Library, there is one at the Music Library. Most books can also be checked out at the Express Check Out machines that are located in the UCSB Library.
UCSB faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students can place an ILL request by using their valid UCSB Library account. Users log in using their library card/account number. * For most users, your library account number is the 14-digit barcode number beginning with 21205 that appears on your Access Card.

Santa Barbara City College students may use the facilities at UCSB, but will need to purchase a card ($100/year). See UCSB policy. Contract certificated staff at SBCC may request a library card from UCSB at their checkout desk by presenting valid identification.
Eating will not be permitted in open study spaces. Drinks will be allowed, but masks must be worn between sips. All areas will be designated as quiet study and seating will be arranged for individual study only.Mar 5, 2021
To print at the Library, choose library-queue. To print in the Music Building, choose Music1401-queue. If a popup appears asking you to log in, enter your UCSB NetID or guest account credentials.
