Set Course Total Column to Show Five Decimal Places.
Moodle displays a Course total (or final grade) to students. The Course total can be based on calculated or aggregated grade items from the Moodle Gradebook or instructors can manually enter numeric grades to the Course total column. For more details, see Grade Calculation in Moodle.
Moodle allows for manual input of the final course grade directly into the Course total column. Please note: You must input numerical scores in this column. Manually input the final course grade: To open the Moodle gradebook, from your main course page go to the Administration block and click Grades.
The easiest way to change text in Moodle is via Administration >> Configuration >> Language >> Edit strings. Please see docs.moodle.org/en/Language for further details.
Note: Moodle does not allow calculations involving no ID numbers. Every grade calculation must start with an equal sign (=) followed by an expression using operators and functions supported by the system. All common arithmetic operators are supported

Contribution to Course Total is what percent is earned toward a final grade with a particular grade item. Please note the difference between this and Calculated Weight: Calculated Weight is the potential, while Contribution is what has actually been earned.
To hide the course total, follow the following procedure: From your main course page, click on the Gear Icon (top right of page) → Gradebook Setup. Click on the Edit link for the course total and select "Hide".
On the Edit page, click to the Grade item or Category total heading to view and adjust the settings. In the Grade type drop-down menu, select Scale. (If you do not see this option, click Show more... to view all options.) In the Scale drop-down menu, select the name of the scale.
Contribution to course total - a new column which, if enabled in the Course grade settings, will show a column of percentages indicating how much each grade item contributes to the user's course total (after weighting is applied).
The course total is the sum of the maximum grades from all aggregated items. When using the Natural aggregation method, it's important to note that: The faculty grade book shows point totals, not percent. The student report shows point totals and percent.
If a student hasn't done a homework, there will be an empty grade ("-").
An empty grade does not (always) equal zero! This allows students to see a running total of their current progress at any point in the course.
In the row for the grade item or category you wish to hide, under the Actions column, click Edit, a drop-down menu will appear. From the drop-down menu, select Hide. The grade item's color will be dimmed to indicate the item is now hidden.
Colleges report GPA (grade point average) on a 4.0 scale. The top grade is an A, which equals 4.0. You calculate your overall GPA by averaging the scores of all your classes. This is the standard scale at most colleges, and many high schools use it.
A letter grade of a D is technically considered passing because it not a failure. A D is any percentage between 60-69%, whereas a failure occurs below 60%.
Moodle does not support input of letter grades. However, it is possible to enter numerical scores and set them to display as letter grades.
Contribution to course total: The portion of the course percentage that comes from this activity after weighting is applied. The sum of all Contribution to Course Total percentages should equal the Course Total Percentage.
Definition: Total Contribution is the difference between Total Sales and Total Variable Costs. Formulae: Contribution = total sales less total variable costs. Contribution per unit = selling price per unit less variable costs per unit.

The percent contribution is obtained by summing all the sum of squares term (SS) and then taking each individual SS and dividing by the total SS and multiplying by 100.
At the top row of the Grader Report there is a toggle switch - select the toggle to change the grade columns that will be displayed.
Thanks. That removed it from the User Report but left it in the Overview Report but I found an option in the Gradebook Setup to hide it there. So many thanks
Although I can now achieve what I want in individual courses (i.e. hide the total/aggregate column) I can't find any global settings. I need to make this change globally for all our courses. Any idea where that setting is?

To ensure your students see an un-rounded grade for their Course total, we recommend keeping the default setting for the Course total column of showing five (5) decimal places. If you see fewer than five decimal places for the Course total:
I would like to change the title " My courses " and " Available Courses ", for student and admin after login, to something like "Selected Course".
open moodle.php file and u should be able to change the filename there.
Hi, The easiest way to change text in Moodle is via Administration >> Configuration >> Language >> Edit strings. Please see docs.moodle.org/en/Language for further details.
As Helen mentions, it is easier to do this within Moodle rather than trying to find the string and modify it in the code. Check out Language_customization which allows you to change any string. Peace - Anthony
You can include the values of other grade items by using their ID number as references in your formulas. The ID number must be surrounded by double square brackets, for example if you have a grade item with Quiz.3 as ID number, you can refer this item using [ [Quiz.3]] in your calculation.
Every grade calculation must start with an equal sign (=) followed by an expression using operators and functions supported by the system. All common arithmetic operators are supported
Calculations and formulas use decimal and list separators as defined in the langconfig.php file of each language pack .
