Preloaded Courses:Select textbooks are offered with what is known as a “preloaded course” in MathXL for School. These courses come with ready-made homework and tests whose due dates can be automatically set at regular intervals throughout the date range of your course.
Course Groups:If you teach multiple classes based on the same textbook or curriculum, Course Groups allow you to manage them in a synchronized way. A course group consists of a coordinator course and member courses; any change to the coordinator course flows down to all the member courses in the group.
Textbook Courses:If you are using a Pearson math textbook, you can select your book as the basis of your MathXL for School course. The table of contents of your course will be identical to that of your textbook. Most courses come with pre-built assignmentsto save you time and effort.
The Individual Student Settings window lets you change the assignment settings for an individual student. No other students in the class are affected by the change.
If you create individual assignment settings and then edit the assignment settings for the entire class, changes you make to the class settings are not applied to students with individual settings. If you are using course groups, any changes made to the assignment in the coordinator course do not affect your individual student settings.
You can also change assignment settings for more than one student at a time from the Homework/Test Manager. See Related Article, AA-03283 "How to: Change Assignment Settings for Multiple Students in MathXL," for details.
MathXL is an innovative series of online courses that provide you and your students with dependable and easy-to-use online homework, tests, multimedia, and tutorial exercises. If you are teaching with a Pearson textbook, your online course accompanies the material in the textbook.
After you have created your coordinator course, you can make as many copies as you need for each section. These copies, called member courses, contain the same content as the coordinator course.
