Jul 20, 2020 · If you import a New Quizzes assessment and then re-import the same assessment, Canvas will revert to the original assessment. To import changes to a New Quizzes assessment, you must duplicate the assessment and then import it into your course. Content imports in Canvas overwrite by default and are not reversible. If you import the wrong content into a site, or import content into the wrong site, you must manually delete and recreate the items as necessary.Aug 27, 2019

Import Process Canvas gives you the option to manually shift events and due dates or have the system shift the dates. We recommend manually updating the dates after you import the content. Click Import.
From your course home page, click the settings tab at the bottom of the course menu. Once in settings, there will be options for both deleting or ending the course on the menu on the right side of the page. Click whichever one to end or delete your course.

Once the content has been copied to the new course, there are a number updates/revisions that need to be made. Refer back to this list after you import your content.
If you have a .zip archive of either a Blackboard or Moodle course, you can import that from the Import Existing Content page.
QTI is the common file format for quizzes in some LMSs, especially Blackboard and Canvas. Create a QTI .zip file by exporting your quiz out of the previous LMS. It's this .zip that will be imported into the Canvas course.
