How to find Global courses in Albert
1. Access the course search via the link in the shopping cart section on the home page of your Albert Student Center. 2. Use the filters on the left to narrow your search. Schools are seperated by boxes with subjects listed within them. 3. Once you have selected a subject, scroll to find a class, and click the appropriate Select button.

Visit the “Syllabus” tool on the left side toolbar of any course site to download or print the course syllabus. Your instructor might share readings and other materials through “Resources” in the left side toolbar.
Visit the Academic Calendar to find out when general registration will open for the upcoming semester. Check when your exact day and time to register is by going to the Enrollment Dates section of Albert. Search for classes on Albert. Meet with your academic advisor to discuss your class schedule.
How to make an appointment with your CAS Advisor through NYU Connect. Students can use the Albert Course Search feature to query course related information during an academic year. Students can use the report to monitor their degree progress for CAS requirements and major and minor requirements.
Albert can be accessed from Albert channel on NYUHome, under the Academics tab for students and the Work tab for administrators. A valid NetID and password are required. *All alumni and former students who have attended NYU in or after 2001 can access Albert.
You can drop most classes using Albert through the semester's add/drop period. After the add/drop period, you can withdraw from a single class by selecting "Request Class Withdrawal" or from all of the classes in a term by selecting "Request Term/Total Withdrawal" in your Albert Student Center.
You may request to pass/fail a course through Albert and your CAS Advisor through Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 at 11:59pm EST. After this deadline, you must petition for a late pass/fail through the Academic Standards Petition Portal. You can choose to Pass/Fail one course per term, including the summer sessions.

You can complete your evaluations on any web-enabled device through NYU Albert.
You can monitor the response rate to your courses in your NYU Albert Faculty Center during the course evaluation period.
Before registration opens, make sure the classes you want to take are available to you.
Remove a class from your schedule. Note: if the add/drop period has ended, you’ll need to request a class withdrawal. See below.
After add/drop has closed, you’ll need to request a class withdrawal to remove a class from your schedule.
If you’re waitlisted for a class, use edit swap to indicate which class you want removed from your schedule if you get into the waitlisted class.
Full-time study is 12 credits total for a twelve-week session, 6 credits total for a six-week session, or 3 credits total for a three-week session. Full-time study for students taking non-credit courses is at least 18 hours of class per week. International students receiving a visa from NYU are required to enroll full-time.
The maximum number of credits a student may enroll in is 16 credits total for a twelve-week session, 8 credits total for a six-week session, or 3 credits total for a three-week session.
Tisch School of the Arts Courses. Tisch Undergraduate Film and TV (FMTV-UT) classes do not allow for non-majors to enroll directly in Albert. To enroll in a Tisch Undergraduate film class you will need to utilize the procedure for non-majors enrollment request process.
Only Stern Open Access Courses are open to visiting students. Students must submit a course enrollment request form for any Stern course regardless of whether there are prerequisites. Please note: Stern School of Business does not allow students who have completed an undergraduate degree to enroll in courses.
Space in Tandon courses is limited, and the Tandon School does not open classes to non- Tandon students until immediately prior to the start of class.
Because being wait listed does not guarantee you will get into the course, it is best to choose alternative courses so you have a back-up schedule. You cannot attend a wait listed course.
Albert does not email you if and when this happens. You must monitor your course registration in Albert to see if you ever get off a wait list. It is not possible to predict your chances of getting into a wait listed course. Students can add or drop courses in Albert through the start of each term.
