There is a plethora of reasons why a class may be departmentally controlled. Students must obtain approval from the instructor of the course (as listed on ONE. UF), and ask that the instructor email Office Manager and Undergraduate Coordinator (UGC) with their approval.

UF will continue online delivery of coursework during the Summer B term, as has been announced for the Summer A and Summer C terms. The Summer B term is being shifted to start one week later than had been previously announced in the academic calendar.

The coursework does not have to be completed in one summer term. Students who bring 60 or more transfer credits to UF, regardless of institution, will be exempt from completing the summer requirement at UF.
The waitlist option only shows in ONE. UF once all the seats in the class section have been filled. When you click + Add Course and perform a course search, you will notice an + Add to Wait button beside classes that have available waitlist seats.
According to the email, Summers A (May 10 to June 18) and C (May 10 to August 6) will play out like Spring semester, with reduced classroom capacity, physical distancing and hybrid classes. The changes will come into effect for Summer B (June 28 to August 6.)Mar 19, 2021

The residency requirement means that your last 30 credits/hours towards your degree must be completed through UF. If you are applying for transient study in a Summer and intend to graduate that Fall or perhaps that following Spring, transient study may not be a good option.
If you take a web-based course through another institution while taking an on-campus course at UF (or web-based through UF and on-campus at another institution) in the same semester, the UF course will not count towards residency.
If you are taking a course in Summer that is a prerequisite for a UF course in Fall, you will not be able to register for the UF course until you receive a final, passing grade in the prerequisite course . Be sure to send your transcripts from that institution to UF after grades post.
They will, however, count towards your critical tracking or pre-professional GPAs, if applicable. Pre-health students should review the Pre-Health transient information. Taking courses required for your major may require additional approval from the undergraduate coordinator of your major’s department.
UF Online courses are specifically for undergraduate students enrolled in the 24 majors of UF Online or the approximately 60 majors of UF PaCE. UF Online provides an accessible, flexible education for those looking to pursue a fully online degree program.
Flexible Learning courses are online, open-enrollment credit courses available to anyone. Admission to the University of Florida is not a requirement. Students receive an official UF transcript when they successfully complete their coursework.
There are a variety of ways to pursue a UF degree online, ranging from web courses for residential students to fully online bachelor's degrees in 24 majors offered by UF Online. UF’s Distance Learning also offers masters, doctoral and certificate programs online.
Equivalent courses at different institutions are identified by the same prefixes and the same last three digits of the course number and are guaranteed to be transferable between participating institutions that offer the course , with a few exceptions, as listed below in Exceptions to the General Rule for Equivalency.
The course prefix is a three-letter designator for a major division of an academic discipline, subject matter area or subcategory of knowledge. The prefix is not intended to identify the department in which a course is offered. Rather, the content of a course determines the assigned prefix to identify the course.
This numbering system is used by all public postsecondary institutions in Florida and 27 participating non-public institutions. The major purpose of this system is to facilitate the transfer of courses between participating institutions. Students and administrators can use the online SCNS to obtain course descriptions and specific information about course transfer between participating Florida institutions.
For example, ENC 1101 is offered at a community college. The same course is offered at a state university as ENC 2101. A student who has successfully completed ENC 1101 at the community college is guaranteed to receive transfer credit for ENC 2101 at the state university if the student transfers.
Certified Electronic Diploma (CeDiploma) A Certified Electronic Diploma is an official, secure electronic version of the UF diploma that can be obtained more quickly than the diploma by mail. The electronic version can be shared digitally with potential employers, family and friends, and uploaded to job networking sites.
The Office of the University Registrar mails diplomas approximately eight weeks after graduation to the address entered on a student’s degree application.
