To get the Plunder in the Sunken Ship Star in Mario 64, swim down to the bottom of the ocean in Jolly Roger Bay to the shipwreck, and swim close to the giant eel and then back to the surface. The eel will then swim out of its hiding hole, and you can swim into the part of the shipwreck.Sep 18, 2020

To get 100 coins on Jolly Roger Bay, you'll need to get almost every coin in the stage – there's only 104 coins in total, and only 55 of those are yellow. You might want to consider going for this star at the same time as getting the red coins as a result.
Wait for the sliding crate to be nearby and use it to jump off and reach the roof. Or, jump onto the elevated edge of the ship's side and jump from there to reach the roof. Once you're on the roof, jump to grab the final two coins. Then, get the Power Star that appears at the stern to complete the level.Jan 3, 2022
You should be able swim after the eel and touch the Power Star on its tail. If you don't get it in time, you'll need to lure the eel out and try again. Once you touch the Power Star on the eel's tail, it'll bounce off and settle under the cave entrance from which the eel swam out.Jan 3, 2022
Jolly Roger Bay is the third course in Super Mario 64 and its remake, Super Mario 64 DS. The entrance to the course is through the ★ door to the far right of the first floor of the Mushroom Castle, and three Power Stars are needed to unlock the door.

After going near the giant eel, swim away to avoid damage and after a few seconds you will notice the eel swimming away from the sunken ship.

There are no major items that you need to use in this course / mission.
Once players are inside the ship, there will be four treasure chests that players can open. Players will need to open them in the correct order with sound effects signifying if they are correct. When a chest is opened, it will release a bubble that restores oxygen.
