To create a new course, hover over New in your top menu bar, then click Course. PowerDMS will open a draft course template for you to start entering your course elements. Enter basic course information under the General tab of the new draft.

You must first archive a document to delete it. If you would like to delete your document so there is no trace or record of it in your PowerDMS site, click the Permanently Delete button from the document General tab.
Your Site Key is an identifier that is unique to your organization's PowerDMS site.

Use the training course management system to assign different training modules to your staffers. You can assign them by department or individually and monitor their progress as they move through the units. You can even set alerts if an employee is falling behind and is in danger of not meeting the milestones, or another alert when an employee has completed the entire course.
You'll also want to assess knowledge by giving quizzes and tests to make sure everyone is paying attention and retaining what they've been learning. If possible, allow for discussion between participants before and after the assessments. Not only will this help them prepare, but the post-test discussion can help them identify problems and retain what they've learned.
Some positions require annual assessment; others may only need to be reassessed every two or three years.
If this is an online course, you may immediately begin taking it by selecting Begin Course at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the course workspace as shown below.
To mark a course as complete (assuming it does not complete automatically), click Finish Course at the bottom of the elements list on the right side of the course work space. This will take you to the course summary page which should show any certificates you've earned from that course as well as your final score/grade (if the test administrator has set it so you can immediately see grades)..

For an overview of your file history by category (Documents, Certificates, Courses, etc.), hover over your Inbox in the top menu bar and select which category you would like to see the history of. Once the appropriate category is displayed select History.
From the PowerDMS Success Community homepage, you can type into the top search bar the topic you want to know more about, and a list of applicable items will appear. You will also find customer suggestions for software and feature improvements under Popular Ideas, and discussions on various topics, such as customer questions and PowerDMS answers, in the Discussions section. If after searching through the Success Community you are still unable to find the information you need, check with your site Administrator.
To create a bookmark, locate the file you'd like to mark and click the bookmark icon to the right of the title.
To access the document search feature, place your cursor over the Find Anything search box at the top of your blue left-side menu. You can choose to browse a category or enter keywords in the Find Anything search box. In the example pictured below, we used the keyword, "harassment" and several sexual harassment policies popped up. PowerDMS also offers the option of adding filters to enhance your search. To accept a suggested filter, click the suggested word (s) or press your tab key.
Click, select Send Verification Email, and you will receive an email message with instructions on how to verify your email address. In order to verify your email, click on the Confirm Email Address button. PowerDMS will let you know once your email address has been verified.
Your To Do list is a snapshot of all the items you are required to complete or sign. You can access those documents by clicking the appropriate item title.
