The Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety (CSRIPS), in conjunction with Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR), has made the decision to discontinue EMT and Paramedic coursework at their location in Martin County. Courses that are currently in session, will be taught to completion with full support from both CSRIPS and MCFR.
If you are participating with the New Jersey EMT Training Fund, all forms must be presented at the time of the class, completely filled out (TYPED) in order to be allowed entry into the class. We only accept NJ EMT Training Fund forms with original signatures from your squad officer.
Should a student be accepted into EMT, an email notification will be sent welcoming the student and providing instructions for the next steps. The student will be provided information for books, drug screening, Day 1 expectations, dress code, rides and clinicals and Complio registration information. Some of these items will have due dates.

The procedures in the field are, for the most part, left to paramedics and EMT-Intermediates (in the few places that still have the later [also called Advanced EMTs in some places]).
Only students that have a fully completed application, including application fee, will proceed in the application process. If your application is not complete in any way, your application will not be reviewed and will not be accepted.
The 10 panel drug screening is also a hospital requirement for all clinical rotations and is not conducted until after acceptance into the program but prior to the scheduling of rotations. The EMT initial education program is a 220-hour course designed to train individuals to provide comprehensive emergency medical care at the basic life support level to victims of illness or injury. The course is a combination of classroom, skills session, and clinical time.
