The short answer is yes. Both private and federal student loans can be used to pay for summer classes. The application process is typically the same one that students borrowing federal loans. The loans you would apply for are the same ones you'd apply for if you wanted to secure loans for the academic year.
Can you get financial aid for summer classes? YYes, you may be able to get financial aid for your summer classes. For the most part, federal financial aid and student loans work the same during summer sessions as they do during the regular school year.
If you are a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen seeking financial aid, you must complete a FAFSA at fafsa.gov. Temple's FAFSA code is 003371. Submit a FAFSA to apply for federal grants, loans and work-study opportunities.
