Activating your Course Pack in Blackboard
Blackboard administrators, instructors, course builders, teaching assistants, and graders can see and access unavailable courses from the My Courses tab and the course list, but they're marked as unavailable. Students can't access unavailable courses regardless of the course duration. Unavailable courses don't appear in the course catalog.
When you activate a BeachBoard course, it becomes visible to students who are enrolled in it. You can set a course to Active through the Course Offering Information page. Students will be able to enter the course within the designated Start Date and End Date parameters, which can also be found in the Course Offering Information page.
You can access the Course Offering Information page by clicking Edit Course on the course navigation bar. This will open the Course Administration page. Under Site Setup, click Course Offering Information. On the Course Offering Information page scroll to the section, Active, and place a check mark in the Course is active check box.
Open a course card's menu to change your course availability. You can also change your course's status on the Course Content page. You can make your course private while you add or experiment with content, and then open it to students when you're ready. Students see private courses in their course lists, but they can't access them.

Courses may not appear in the My Courses module in Blackboard for a few reasons: The instructor has not yet published the course for student view (most common reason). The student has not yet successfully registered and paid for the course. There may be an issue with the student's enrollment.

A course site isn't visible to students until the instructor manually publishes the Canvas site. If the semester/term has already started and you are definitely registered for the course, contact your instructor and ask them to publish the course. You may have previously set your Courses List to show other courses.

Open a course card's menu to change your course availability. You can also change your course's status on the Course Content page. Mark a course as complete. You can choose to set your course to Complete when the course has ended, but you can no longer make changes to it . Students can access the content, but they can't participate in the course any longer. For example, they can't reply to discussions or submit assignments.
Note: the “Course Id” displays the class number of the course, make sure it is from a previous course. This information assists in choosing the correct course to copy from.
Select Single Course if you are teaching only 1 section of a course or if you want to keep different sections of the same course in separate Blackboard course shells.
