The college's full course schedule, including evening and weekend classes, is available on the AACC website . Fall, winter, spring and summer courses taken during high school qualify for the 50% tuition reduction.

Beginning May 19, face coverings are no longer required to be worn indoors. For any off-site locations not owned or controlled by the college, students in AACC classes may be required to wear a mask within that classroom based on their guidelines.

A letter grade of a D is technically considered passing because it not a failure. A D is any percentage between 60-69%, whereas a failure occurs below 60%. Even though a D is a passing grade, it's barely passing. As such, it is not looked at favorably.

How do you get an AACC library card?

You can get a free AACC photo ID card from the bookstore on the Arnold campus or at Arundel Mills. To borrow hard-copy materials, either bring your photo ID to the circulation desk on the second floor of the library or complete the online application form, providing the barcode number from your card.

How do I get a AACC ID card?

The AACC Bookstore conducts photo ID services on a walk-in basis during store operating hours. Bring the following items with you to obtain a school ID: A government-issued photo ID (eg: driver's license, state ID) or, if you are a high school student, a school ID. A current copy of your school schedule.

Online

AACC's online credit courses are provided through a learning management platform called Canvas. Using Canvas, instructors provide course materials, lectures, assignments and opportunities to interact with others in a virtual classroom.

Hybrid

Hybrid courses blend on-site meetings with an online component. A significant amount of class activity takes place online, so students spend less time in a traditional classroom.

Face-to-Face

Face-to-face courses meet in a classroom. An instructor provides a lecture or leads a discussion in person and you see your fellow students face-to-face.

What is an online course?

These short online courses provide self-paced learning on targeted specific topics essential to laboratory professionals to stay up to date and/or move to the next phase of their careers. Courses are also eligible for continuing education credit.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in a course?

Educational programs are open to anyone who wishes to participate. Specific professional experience or academic degrees are not required unless the program’s registration form specifically mentions them. The information contained on the program’s web pages will include the program’s target audience and level of difficulty.

Do I need to be a member to enroll in an online course?

No, you do not need to be a member of AACC to purchase access to an online course. As a member of AACC you receive a significant fee discount and access to other great resources.

Do I earn continuing education (CE) credits for an online course?

ACCENT® credit accepted in all states where documentation for continuing education is required, including the following states: California, Florida, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and West Virginia. How many credits available differ for each certificate program and are listed in the description.

Can I earn partial CE credit for an online course?

No—only one link is provided for completion of the course. This link with instructions is provided at the end of each program. Upon successful completion, including completion of an evaluation, you will be able to print your CE certificate.

How long do I have to complete a course?

You have until the program end date, which is listed in the course description, to complete the program. Extensions may not be granted.

What is early college access grant?

Early College Access Grants of $200 per term are available for students who demonstrate financial need. The grant helps cover the other half of the tuition that’s not waived through ECAP. Students who qualify for free and reduced meals (FARM) may have the full tuition waived.

Can I take more than two classes in Anne Arundel County?

The courses you’d like to take are not approved by your school principal or counselor. You’d like to take more than two courses. You’re not sure if your private school participates in ECAP. You attend a school other than an Anne Arundel County public school or partnering private school.
