The good news is that in most cases, you can indeed drop one of your harder courses.
Students can log in to www.TotalRegistration.net. Once logged in, students can request an exam cancellation. After they have requested a cancellation, the request will show on the Exam Coordinator's home page or in the Manage Student Requests in the Students section of the Report Center.
Your ability to transfer a student out isn't dependent on their new school enrolling them as transfer in—you can select transfer out in AP Registration and Ordering for the student as soon as they have officially transferred out of your school.
Once you have dropped a class, you no longer have to attend it, and you will no longer receive a grade in that course. Instead, there will usually be a "W" (for "Withdrawn") next to the course's name, instead of a letter grade, on your transcript.
For example, if you are going to fail or get a “D,” it's probably better to unenroll. Additionally, if the class is causing you physical or emotional stress and health-related issues like anxiety, it's not worth sacrificing your wellbeing.

When you request cancellation, your exam won't be scored, and if it has already been scored, the score will be permanently deleted from our records. Once a score is canceled, it can't be reinstated. There's no fee for this service, but your exam fee is not refunded.
Failing & Then Re-Taking a Class Croskey notes that dropping a class is better than withdrawing, but withdrawing is better than failing. “A failing grade will lower the student's GPA, which may prevent a student from participating in a particular major that has a GPA requirement,” Croskey says.
Basically, nothing happens if you fail an AP exam. Whether you get a passing or failing AP exam grade, you can still go to college. Colleges do not take a look at the AP exam as the only a criterion for accepting or rejecting a student.
If you're taking an AP course that starts in the second semester, you must join your class section online before class starts or in the first few days of class. Your AP teachers will give you a join code for each of your AP classes.
Any additional distribution of the AP Practice Exam violates the College Board’s copyright policies and may result in the termination of exam access for your school as well as access to other online services, such as AP Classroom and online score reports.
The process is designed to confirm teacher awareness of course scope and occasional exam changes, and to ensure that practice exams and other resources are only accessible to teachers verified by a school administrator. Once your course is authorized, you will have access to practice exams and other resources (e.g., formative assessments and the AP Question Bank) that are reserved for AP teacher usage.
AP Practice Exams are for in-classroom use only. To ensure their integrity, please keep them in a secure location, do not assign them as take-home assignments, collect them back from your students after administering them in class, and do not post them on school or other websites.
You may incorporate questions from the AP Practice Exam into shorter assessments you create, as long as your assessments are paper-based, administered in your classroom, and you collect the test questions from the students as soon as the test is over.
To drop a student from a class section, go to Students in the top navigation menu. Click Drop Student from the Actions column next to the student’s name. Students can’t drop themselves from a class section.
(If a teacher drops a student from a class section after you’ve submitted your exam order, the student is automatically moved to a Dropped Students exam only section.

If the student still wants to take the exam without taking the class, don’t drop the student from a class section; instead, move the student to an exam only section.
