You must be at least 48″ to go on the Carnival or Norwegian ropes courses. For Carnival, there is a 300 pound weight limit (275 lbs on the Carnival Vista). Closed-toe shoes are also required. It’s highly recommended you wear a t-shirt to avoid rope burn. Also, no cameras or phones are allowed on the course, so station a friend or family member nearby to take pictures of your daring experience.

I have a very short daredevil eight-year-old. She is 47.5 inches tall without shoes and in recent months has never known whether she will be allowed on various attractions that require her to be 48 inches -- waterslides and inflatable obstacle courses.

I have the opposite problem. I wonder if you can be too tall to for the rope course?? My son is very tall (6"9"). Do you think he will be able to try it out?

I hadn't seen a list of the rules before that said 48 inches OR accompanied by an adult. Either way, it sounds like she'll be fine.
The ropes course onboard is known as the ‘Himalayan Bridge’ and is made up of 12 parts. Up to 30 passengers can be on the course at once and there are two paths to take over each section. To begin with we thought that there might be one easy and one hard option but most seemed pretty hard to me!
There are three waterslides onboard the MSC Meraviglia and Bellissima. I tried all three! For the first two waterslides, you’ll need to sit on a rubber ring (collected from the bottom and carried up with you). These slides are pretty tame and good fun. On the third you don’t need a ring and slide down with your hands holding your head, you come out into a big toilet bowl shape.
