State laws (and AARP's Terms and Conditions) mandate that courses must be completed within 60 days of registering for the course. (New York and Connecticut require completion within 30 days of registration.)

Driver Improvement records are only retained for three years. If the clinic has closed and you took the class within the past 3 years please call 678-413-8745. A fee up to $5.00 may be charged for the replacement certificate. If it has been longer than three years, you must retake the course.
The Mature Driver Improvement Certificate you receive after completing the AARP Smart Driver Course is good for a period of three (3) years from the date you completed the course.
Our New York defensive driving course is required by the state to meet a 6-hour length requirement. But remember – you can work through those 6 hours at whatever pace you choose, and you do not have to complete it all in one day (you can if you want to, of course).
The Pennsylvania Defensive Driving course will take 4-hours to complete. You will have immediately access to your online course once you complete registration and payment. Take the class at your own pace. You can take as many breaks as you want - sign in and out as often as you like.
