About Notifications Canvas has a robust notification system. Both students and parents can receive email alerts for various course related activities.
Canvas Notifications Instructors, TAs, and other custom instructor roles can receive notifications for course groups without being added directly to a group. To receive a notification, they must be enrolled in the course and enable the Announcement Created By You notification setting.
All Submissions will trigger notifications generally whenever a student submits work on time. By default, this notification is turned off, indicated by an "X" inside a green box. Late Grading sends notifications whenever a student submits work late.
