Very nice of you and your playing partner! The golf shop and or caddiemaster should have given you the run down as a first timer at Shadow Creek before you went out - or at least had a ticket of some sort explaining the services.

this is pretty interesting as we thought we might have underpaid. our friend who used to caddie at Chambers Bay suggested we tip 250-300 each lolol

tomastomatohead

Like others said, overpaid - by A LOT! 4x. Guaranteed he was already getting a "bag fee" from the club, probably $20-$25 each. That's why everyone else is saying $40-$75 for a tip. Forecaddying is a walk in the park! Double bagging is another story.

leejohnkieh

I played there as a single on the 9/13. Basically had a "true caddie" vs a forecaddie as I was a single. Tipped $100 for the great service. $60-120 per bag seems to be the range for top courses I have played for a caddie (vs forecaddie). Forecaddie recommended tip at most courses is $20-$40 per bag.

dcmidnight

We played last week and had one forecaddie for 4 players. Its honestly the first time I've had a forecaddie that didn't actually forecaddie - IE he never went out to watch for drives and we lost quite a few balls that really looked like they were just barely off the fairway.
