UC Santa Barbara offers an ever-expanding selection of fully online courses during the summer.
Some departments charge Course Materials and Services Fee for specific classes, such as those with science or computer labs, photography labs, art supplies, or similar costs. Classes with this fee should be noted in the Class Schedule, although the amounts may not be known at the time of publication.
The $100 cancellation fee is non-refundable except in specific circumstances. Once you enroll in at least one class in the summer term, you will be subject to this fee.
Class Pass Transit Fee provides free transportation on all Alameda County buses. $48 Class Pass Transit Fee is assessed to any UC student not registered in the previous spring semester on the Berkeley campus. Class Pass Transit Fee becomes non-refundable once your first session begins.
A $20 fee is required (pay at the Cashier's Office only) to get your UC Merced CatCard. You may pick up your CatCard in the CatCard Office, located near the Students First Center.
A $50 late payment penalty may be imposed for registrations or payments occurring after the payment deadline dates listed in the Dates and Deadlines. Fees are immediately due when you enroll in a course after the fee payment deadline.
Students may be charged fees in some courses for the use, rental or consumption of materials, tools or equipment, or for the costs of materials or services necessary to provide special supplemental educational experiences.
The International Student Service Fee is $200 for non-immigrant visa holders F-1, H-4 and J-2. This fee is in addition to the $100 International Student Visa Fee listed below.
