SUMMER SESSION enrollment begins on April 4 for U4s and April 5 for all students . Use the summer to catch up or get ahead in your studies! FALL SEMESTER enrollment appointments begin on Monday, April 4 and continue through Friday, April 15 based upon seniority by credits.
Students are limited to one course of GPNC during the the entire Summer Session. Only undergraduates may GPNC courses. Only matriculated Stony Brook students may audit summer courses. Matriculated students must have permission of the instructor.

This means that you must be registered for a correct number of credits, which can be 12, 9, or less, depending on the number of graduate credits that you have accumulated so far.
For summer semesters it can be 0 credits of CSE 800 (or any other CSE course). For Spring and Fall semesters, a domestic graduating student can register for 1 credit.
Student Responsibility. Students themselves - whether new, visiting, returning, or continuing - are responsible for reviewing, understanding, and abiding by the University's regulations, procedures, requirements, and deadlines as described in all official publications.
Deadlines are listed in the Academic Calendar. You do not need permission to drop courses if you drop within the published deadlines. If you drop courses after the deadline in each session, you will receive a mark of W (Withdrawal). After the fifth Friday of each session, you may not withdraw from summer courses.
The requirements for the business graduate programs include: A. A bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
Students must declare their decision to matriculate into a master’s program before the completion of 12 credits. Note that, although it is a valuable academic credential, an Advanced Graduate Certificate is not a degree. Certificate Program in Finance.

The Advanced Graduate Certificate Program in Health Care Management is a professional development program intended for health practitioners who require management training and for managers who require specific training in the health care field.
The Advanced Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management is a program for private- and public-sector managers, labor relations specialists, and union representatives, human resources/personnel managers, and employee training professionals.
The M.A degree is awarded either as a terminal degree, or to students on the way to the Ph.D. degree. The Master of Science in Scientific Instrumentation program is provided for those interested in instrumentation for physical research.
The Department of Physics and Astronomy offers a Ph.D. degree with concentration in astronomy when the thesis work is carried out in the area of astronomy or astrophysics.
